Mom of the Week : Bryanna

8:32 AM

Mom of the Week goes to my wrap sister Bryanna Kimball! She has 3 kids and is still making time to kill it in the business! I think she is just so awesome and I know you will agree :) Enjoy!

Tell us a little bit about yourself and your family :
My name is Bri and my husbands name is Steven! My family is a blended family of 8 and i wouldn’t have it any other way! There’s 3 kids 6,5, and 3 months. 3 kitties, my husband, and I. We’re slowly turning into the married crazy cat couple! I’m a stay at home mommy trying to get my newly found business off the ground while juggling kids and soon to be college, while my husband is an industrial HVAC lead technician. We got married on January 29, 2015 and coming into this marriage i was not domesticated at all! LoL Thanks to Pinterest and Facebook i can actually cook some pretty delicious meals and clean a house with tricks up my sleeve! I have 2 girls and one boy. My two girls are Aubry, who’s 6, and Nixie, who’s 5, and my son’s name is Brody, and he’s 3 months. Like most little girls my girls love Frozen, Taylor Swift, and being big sisters to their new little brother. Aubry loves school, getting her nails painted, and being center of attention! We always say that Aubry’s a 10 year old trapped inside of a 6 year olds body because she can figure things out where you think to yourself, “now why didn’t i think of that?” Nixie is my outdoorsy, bug lovin’, daddy’s girl who has an extremely contagious laugh! I think my favorite thing about both my girls is they’re both super animated when they talk! Makes for some interesting stories! Brody is a super happy baby who LOVES to talk, him and daddy even have their own language (baby language of course LoL). He smiles and giggles now, and his favorite toy is one of those tiny blanket with the animal on it. His is a lamb. I have 2 boy kitties and a girl kitty! My 2 boys are tuxedos and the sweetest lovable kitties ever! Their names are Mowi aka Mow Mows, who’s about 2 years old,  and Ranger, who’s about 3-4 months old. Ranger was actually supposed to be a temporary thing while his previous owner found a new home for them to live in, but he ended up abandoning him. We were tried for 2 days to look for a new home for him and my husband just couldn’t let him go! So we decided to keep him! My female cat is a Morti Torti (i think thats how you spell it), her name is Rustii, she’s almost a year old. She’s my typical cat! The one that hides from every and runs away every time you try and pet her! It gets pretty frustrating but we love her anyways!

When did you know you wanted to become a mom?
I didn’t choose the mom life, the mom life chose me! haha No but seriously, I had gotten pregnant with Aubry at the age of 20 after her dad and I broke up. When i got pregnant i was so scared, but i knew that this was God’s plan for me, and as scared as i was, there was also a calming to me knowing that regardless if her dad was in the picture or not (which i was hoping he would be in her life for her) that i would still be able to do this. Sadly, abortion got brought up, which was an absolute HELL NO for me, even adoption got brought up, which i considered for a quick quick second because of how young we were. I was so sure that i was going to have her regardless of what happens! What was so great is my family backed me in my decision, which made my decision that much easier! And when I made the decision to have Aubry that was when i knew 100% that i wanted to be a mom!

The second time i wanted to become a mom was when i met my husband! His daughter was so adorable, sweet and shy! Our daughters played so well together and when the thought and talk of marriage came about i couldn’t have been more excited to be Nixie’s step mommy! My favorite thing is when she calls me mama Bri and tells me how much she loves me.

The third time i wanted to become a mom was when Steven and i were dating, and he had to go to Elko, Nevada for work for a couple months. The separation was tough, and all Steven and i could talk about was when he got back how we were going to start a family and have our own cute lives! After we got married, and I’m talking like hours after we got married, I’m pretty sure i got pregnant with Brody haha!

What has been your favorite part about being a mom? Least favorite? :

My favorite part has been the love and dependency of my children. I feel like I’m going to be that mom who’s upset that her kids don’t want her help anymore! Another favorite thing of mine is seeing their personalities develop and seeing what traits each one of my children develop!

My least favorite thing about being a mom the 1st time around was going to court and missing out on some things when Aubry was a baby. I didn’t realize i missed out on a lot of things until now, now that i have Brody and I’m able to stay home with him. Currently my least favorite thing about being a mom is the damn bottles! i hate cleaning those Dr. Brown bottles!!
How has motherhood changed you? :

I think the biggest change for me is being more conscious of other peoples needs and wants.

What is your biggest fear as a mom? :
Teen years!!

What advice do you wish you could give your pre-mommy self? :
This is probably one of the hardest questions for me, because if i could do this all over again i wouldn’t change a thing, not the hard times i went through, not the fact that I’ve been in and out of college since i graduated high school, nothing! My hardships have made me who i am today!

What advice has been given to you that has helped you? :
I’m not sure if this advice was said or shown to me, but being involved in my childrens education was a huge help for me!

What do you think makes you a great mom? :
I will go to the ends of the earth to make sure that my children are taken care of.

What's one wish your have for your children?:
Of course the first thing that comes to mind is the cliche “You can be anything you wanna be!” but when i honestly think about it, i really honestly wish for my children to grow up loving Jesus!

Do you ever feel like you have no clue what you are doing? :
Of course! When we brought Brody home i felt like i had no idea even though i had done this before! And if my kids get hurt i go into panic mode and don’t know what the heck I’m doing. That’s why I’m glad my husbands around he knows what to do in the “hurt kid situation” LoL

What is one thing you said you would NEVER do, but you totally do it? :
Sweets! I told myself that i wouldn’t let my kids have a ton of sweets, and it never fails usually after every meal, “Can i have dessert?”

As moms we can get judged a lot with the things that we do. Have you ever been judged? How did you handle it?:
You know, i really can’t think of a time when I’ve gotten judged, I’m sure I have been. I honestly just don’t care that much. In my opinion, its my life not theirs, if they don’t like how i handle things then they can kiss my butt!
I MEAN! How adorable are they?!

What is something you miss about your life before you had children? :
 FREQUENT SPONTANEOUS ROADTRIPS!!

What is your favorite me time thing to do?
Lately it’s been baths and a movie, show, or game on the iPad.

What is your biggest pet peeve as a mom? :
“Clean your room! Does this look cleaned? There’s barbies on your bed, socks on the table, toys are not in their designated spots!”

How do you want your children to remember you? :
As their crazy mom that did everything she could to help them succeed in life!

What other moms inspire you? :
My mom! My mom is my biggest inspiration! She raised my sister and i pretty much by herself! My aunt also inspires me as a mother! Her kids (my cousins) are so well behaved, love jesus, and love school and thats what i want for my children!

  2. Loved Reading about Brianna. I loved that she said that she would not change anything because the things that she experienced made her the mom she is today. I also loved her one wish.... her children Loving Jesus.... Totally agree. Love this series... Brianna is one amazing mother. :)
