Life With One Moore

3:46 PM

So we have been home for 3 days now,  which isn't a long time by any means, but ya know.. baby steps.

Our first day home was kinda surreal. It was like I didn't know what I was suppose to do with a new born. Brynlee sucked the knowledge right out of me with her wild dreamer ways! Luckily, my husband was home to lend a helping hand - even though he has a cold. He's so amazing.

So far our days involve just getting sleep where we can, making sure the kids are getting enough attention, and soaking up all these sweet, beautiful, crazy moments.

And learning that taking on two babies requires a ton of team work. Neither one of us gets a break right now.

One of my favorite things is watching Brynlee interact with Balen. She loves him so much!

I must say I'm feeling completely spoiled at the moment because Tim is home for a full week! We didn't have that blessing last time so I'm super excited for all the help while I heal and we adjust. We are also feeling extra spoiled because of all the family help. Bringing over dinner and coffee has been to major life savers. Especially since this birth came a little early and we were super unprepared!

Today has been a little more hetic than the others and I think it's starting to sink in that we have two babies. Not a toddler and a baby, but babies.

Early this morning Balen wouldn't stay asleep for the life of either of us and once I finally got him down Brynlee woke up. Shortly after she went down he was back up.

Balen SHOT out poop all over me.. the bed.. the wall (which I'm still impressed by because it was at least 3 feet away)

Nap time isn't happening for either of them today.. in fact we still hear her talking in her room while I'm trying to nurse Balen down for a nap.

*Update - FINALLY got Balen down, went to make myself a quick lunch to scarf down so I could pass out and Brynlee starts screaming. Guess what? She learned how to take off her diaper. Oh, and she pooped.
Yeah, welcome to our crazy little life! Haha!
Also, now feeling EXTRA thankful for that giant coffee my aunt brought me this morning.

Poop was the theme for today, if you couldn't tell.

Today we survived our first "outting" ! It was only to the doctors office, but we are feeling like this was a pretty big mile stone in this new journey.

Yeah, I'm looking rough. Mom life!

So,  things are slowly getting crazy around here. But oh man!  Is this whole home over filled with love. We are accepting the crazy with big open arms, we can't wait to see what our future holds.

  3. Sounds like your doing a great job mom.:) I can only imagine having 2 babies. Mine were all 2 1/2 years apart so I had it much easier. The incredible thing is that the two of them will be so close because they are so close in age. Having two sure feels like a big family... I remember when we had two.:)... It is so great that your hubby could stay home the first week. That makes a huge difference. Your children are so beautiful.
