We get asked the same question a lot-
What do you do all day?
Uhm, everything.
It is so hard to explain what a day looks like for a stay at home mom.
How simple things can turn into the hardest things.
How many melt downs- you and the baby- have through out the day.
How incredible it feels to use the bathroom by yourself when someone finally gets home.
How awesome it can be and how many laughs you'll have through out the day.
How sweet moments are when your little one just wants to cuddle and thats totally okay to take a break and do so..
SO I decided to document our day of October 6, 2015.
Nothing special about it, just to show you what it looks like for us on a normal day.
Enjoy :)
I'm also thinking about calling this The Meltdown Chronicles because she had A LOT.
6:30am- GOOOOOOOOOD MORNING!
*Note to self- stop leaving puffs where she can see them.
7:am- Hah, just kidding. Get ready for a hectic morning.
This melt down was either because A. I gave her some puffs she asked for or B. I asked her to come here. I'm not sure what triggered it exactly.
7:10am- This is the face you make when you already know this day is going to call for extra coffee and you are sad you can't drink wine.
She has learned how to throw away her dirty diaper. I'm very excited about this.
8am- When you realize it is no longer socially acceptable to go out looking the way you do and you really need to shower. Play time in the bathroom!
9:28am- I'm not sure what happened, mom. The box kind of just exploded!!
10:45am- The demon sleeps so now I can start on one of the piles of endless laundry and do some work!
12:45pm- This meltdown was because she threw her box of crackers on the floor.
It doesn't really look like she was freaking out, but I promise you- she was.
1pm- KIDS PLANET!!!!! Need I say more? Bless the person who though of indoor playgrounds for toddlers.
*We had to leave early because she had 2 meltdowns while we were there.
2pm- The calm before the storm... sharing a smoothie for lunch. And by sharing I mean she drank the whole thing and I'm still hungry. I think all I've had were a handful of goldfish today. Oh and coffee.
Toddlers- best diet ever.
2:30pm- There's the storm. Just trying to wash dishes while she is having another meltdown.
She does this new thing where she freaks out if I'm cooking, cleaning, or washing dishes. It is a blast.

ReplyDeleteHaha yeah we had a very fun day yesterday! I'm ready for a vacation!
DeleteI love this!! Our day is dictated by "Judy needs to eat now" "Judy may nap now" and how I can manuver couponing & grocery shopping in between. I dont know how you can carry both babies at once, my back kills with just one! You inspire me, you warrior woman!!
